Biography

Phoenix Down a progressive rock enigma...combining powerfull imagery through a musical and lyrical synergy. This band had released 2 studio albums and a live album before their hiatus in 2006 until the early summer of 2012.

Now 2013 finds the band the busiest they have been reissuing The Cycle Of Strife at www.phoenixdown2112.bandcamp.com followed shortly by a physical release of their debut remastered by Sam Taylor(KING's X/ZZ Top/Galactic Cowboys) in February, 2013.

A Cover CD of Progressive Rock Classics will folllow shortly after (Hopefully by April)

They will also be entering the studio with Steve Thompson(Guns N' Roses/Metallica/Anthrax/Alice Cooper) to record their third studio CD entitled "The Dawn Of Oblivion

THe band has launched a Kickstarter to help ease the financial burden of the recording process and prepare for an upcoming tour. You can help the band by going to http://alturl.com/nft63 and donating what you can(they have some really cool incentives you will get...even if you can only donate a dollar and then turn around and spread the word you can help this band make their musical dreams come true!!!

Ryo Okumoto(Spocks Beard): "The Guitar solo on The Tie That Binds is really good...you need a keyboard player for your CD let me know"

Alan Morse(Spock's Beard) says: "This is some Really cool stuff...The Cycle Of Strife is absolutely massive...if you like RUSH, King's X or other heavy progressive bands you're going to love Phoenix Down"
